Nothing is sweeter than the taste of success… or so Dragoș Nan, Coca-Cola’s former „Manager of the Year,” seems to believe. But, as in any story of princes and palaces, there’s a skeleton in the closet (or, in Nan’s case, an entire graveyard of carbonated skeletons). Because the road from most lauded employee to most controversial „boyar” of Ploiești is paved with bribes, inflated contracts, and an unquenchable thirst for power.
Nan-expansion: How Dragoș Nan transformed Coca-Cola into a personal empire – with his wife at the Industrial Park and bribes at the APM!
What started as a discreet network of influence quickly morphed into a personal empire, where family comes first (and in all other important places). It’s no longer just about the „drink of happiness,” but about „Nan’s happiness” – a happiness financed by lucrative contracts, nepotistic hires, and blind loyalty to the clan.
Nan’s estate has expanded beyond the factory walls, reaching the Industrial Park, where his wife, Valentina Nan, reigns as an empress of asphalt and industrial halls. All, of course, through a contract tailored to fill the family’s coffers and demonstrate that, in Nan’s kingdom, meritocracy is just a bad joke.
Carbonated transcripts: Dragoș Nan signs the bribe, Ionuț Popescu pretends the sun is in his eyes – Criminal comedy at the factory gate!
But how does this empire actually work? Well, it takes „a little attention” for the authorities – dozens of liters of soda, kilograms of coffee, and perhaps a bottle of fine alcohol, all generously „donated” into the trunks of representatives from the APM, GNM, ITM, and others. Transcripts (which, unfortunately, we cannot publish in full, but assure you are savory) reveal how Dragoș Nan shamelessly signs the documents necessary for these „gifts,” turning bribery into a state (or, rather, factory) policy.
And to make everything even more ridiculous, Ionuț Popescu, the head of security, a kind of Sancho Panza to Nan, enters the scene, pretending the sun is in his eyes every time he sees cars entering empty and leaving full to the point of breaking their suspensions. „A good practice to have good relations with the authorities,” Popescu would say, probably with a knowing smile and a bottle of Coca-Cola at hand.
Bubbly legal team, more incompetent than a leaky siphon: Throwing money at elite lawyers to cover up Nan’s illegalities!
But what happens when Nan’s „good practice” gets into trouble? Well, this is where the legal department comes in – an army of well-paid lawyers who, it seems, don’t really know how to do their job. Instead of preventing illegalities, they specialize in covering them up, calling on external help and throwing money at contracts with „elite” law firms.
Why have competent lawyers when you can hire „connections” who, in turn, hire other „connected” people? That’s how an empire is built, isn’t it? With incompetence, corruption, and an unquenchable thirst to siphon off the company’s money.
The ultimate cheek of boyar Nan: Demands fat compensation to leave the estate – Or wants promotion to erase his past with a sponge?
And now, the icing on the cake: Dragoș Nan, the „boyar” from Ploiești, knows he’s got a fly on his hat (or, rather, an entire swarm of carbonated flies). So, instead of apologizing and quietly packing his bags, he demands hefty compensation to leave the estate!
He has put two options on the table: a generous sum for the „difficult trials” he is going through (i.e., for being caught red-handed) or a promotion to the group level, to escape the „craziness” here and erase his past with a sponge. That is, to be rewarded for incompetence and corruption!
What nerve! It’s like we’re in a black comedy, where criminals are promoted and rewarded, and victims are left to lick the dust.
Brunches at the expense of employees, trunks stuffed for authorities: How Nan transformed Coca-Cola into a personal fiefdom!
Meanwhile, honest employees toil hard, with meager salaries and endless overtime, while „boyar” Nan goes about his business, fills the trunks of authorities, and dreams of a bohemian house, befitting his status as former „manager of the year.”
It’s a bleak image, a symbol of the corruption and inequity that gnaws at Romania. But don’t despair! Incisiv de Prahova will not give in! We will continue to reveal all the illegalities and abuses at Coca-Cola Ploiești until Dragoș Nan and his accomplices reach where they belong: before the law.

Conclusion: Coca-Cola – The sweet poison of corruption or the penal siphon with a bitter taste?
So, dear Romanians, what are we actually drinking? A „drink of happiness” or a Molotov cocktail of lies, corruption, and indifference? A criminal siphon with a bitter taste, sweetened with bribes and inflated contracts?
How long will we tolerate „boyar” Nan and his accomplices making a mockery of us, poisoning us with chemicals, and filling our trunks with „attentions”? How long will we allow Romania to become a personal fiefdom, where laws are optional and corruption is the order of the day?
It’s time to wake up! To rise up and say „Stop!” to this sinister circus! To boycott Coca-Cola, demand investigations and resignations, and fight for a cleaner and fairer future!
Because, let’s not forget, Dragoș Nan and his accomplices will not go unpunished. Incisiv de Prahova will not give in! We will continue to investigate, reveal, and slam the criminal siphon against all the walls until justice is served.
Until then, all that remains is to laugh (or cry) at the absurdity of the situation. Because, as the saying goes, in Romania, corruption is sweeter than Coca-Cola. But, unlike the „drink of happiness,” the bitter taste of corruption will haunt us for a long time to come.
But rest assured, it’s not bad luck, just a local administration pretending to work!
